SANDRINE DANAË

Sandrine Danaë, author and illustrator, was born in France (Rouen, Normandy). After 10 years in London and 3 years in Amsterdam, she moved back to France, near Paris, with her husband (singer, guitarist, composer, and leader of the band DELGRES) and their two daughters.
She is the creator of a unique model of small articulated fabric characters that she brings to life in the illustrations of her books.
The concept for her books was born from Sandrine’s deep admiration for the courage, resilience, and inherent beauty of every human being. While everyone often considers themselves “ordinary,” she sees in each of us an extraordinary person, an unsung hero. Just like heroes, we weather storms, endure moments of great pain, meet people who transform our lives, and we also experience moments of profound joy and memorable victories.
In her books, Sandrine recounts the inspiring journeys of these extraordinary, yet “ordinary” heroes. By reading her books, children are encouraged to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams, despite the obstacles they face. Sandrine aspires to help them discover who they truly are, tap into their talents, and never allow the world to extinguish their inner light, no matter their differences. Every dream is a seed that, once planted, can grow into something bigger, something wonderfully unexpected.
